Warner Brothers Studio approached HYFN looking for an interactive campaign to promote their upcoming film Edge of Tomorrow. In the film, an officer finds himself caught in a time loop in a war with an alien race. His skills increase as he faces the same brutal combat scenarios, and his union with a Special Forces warrior gets him closer and closer to defeating the enemy.
The result was a narrative involving an interactive field guide that was to be filled in by users via social media as they researched the film and gained knowledge about how best to defeat the Aliens forces. After posted, tweets could be up and down voted by other users so that the most accurate answer rises to the top and fills in the manual.
